Which equipment is used popularly to cut the joints in cement concrete pavement construction?

In a construction site, we see hundreds of equipment and tools that are used in the entire construction work. But when concrete construction in Lilongwe at a place starts where there is an old building made, or a new building is being constructed. Often, the joints in the cement concrete pavement construction have to be cut, demolished, and then reconstructed on the place. So, popularly, to cut the joint in the construction concrete cement, there are two instruments that are mainly used.

The Two Instruments Are:

Concrete Saws - The concrete saws are often used in the building construction services where there is the requirement to demolish a prior made building and remove the old concrete. The concrete saws are also used at the places where they need to cut control joints where the concrete is hardening.

Furthermore, to make the concrete saw sharp, the good quality diamond blades are used to cut the concrete. Besides the diamond cutter, the different blades in the concrete saws are used to cut the wood and the metal.

Groove Cutters and Edger - The Groove cutters are basically used on the footpaths, stairs, sidewalks, driveways, residential slabs, and for many other alike places, where the joints of the construction concrete cement have to be cut and have to make it edgy.

Often these groovers have the horizontal plate and vertical fins. These groovers are used at the places where the concrete saws can’t be used to shape the grooves.

So, though, the work of both the cutters is the same in the building construction services, but the purposes they have are different. As the groovers can’t cut most rigid concretes, Similarly, the concrete saws can’t cut and give shape to the edges and cut the slabs, footpaths, sidewalks, and other alike places.
